Karolina kurkova (a Czech woman) is one of the models with plenty of fame. She was born in Czechoslovakia and was a target of ridicule from her peers at her for being large. That changed when someone presented her photos to a Czech modelling agency. The agency immediately hired her, launching her modelling career. Soon after she moved to Milan to continue her training in modeling. At the age of 17 she was featured on the front cover of 'Vogue' magazine, and her career has been booming since then. In her modeling career, she was featured on numerous covers of magazines around the world, and also walked on ramps for many international brands including "Versace", "Ralph Lauren" and Louis Vuitton. Following her success as a model, her career as an actor began. She has appeared in TV as well as Hollywood films. She was one of the guests on the reality show 'America's Next Top Model', as well as its German version. She has received a great amount of praise for her work in recent years and was once ranked amongst most highly-paid supermodels on the world.
