Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports began at 14 years old. She trained in boxing kickboxing BJJ and wrestling before completing her amateur debut at age 18 at WCFC in a fight against Jaimee Nievera. Ladd was able to beat three times within a row in Ultimate Reno Combat. All her opponents were finished within the first five minutes. After that, she went back to WCFC where she defeated Leslie Rodriguez by unanimous decision. Aspen was able to defeat Silvia Babaeghian as well as Maddy Simmons before fighting Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9. Cynthia defeated Aspen and defeated her via unanimity to create an end to Ladd's amateur record. Ladd recovered from the defeat, and won Roma Pawelek at Tuff-N-Uff to increase her record up to 8-1. Aspen became a professional in the year 2015, and was signed by Invicta FC to make her professional debut. Invicta Aspen fought Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta '11 and she won by one-round TKO. Invicta 16 also saw Aspen rise up to Bantamweight after winning her battle with Amanda Cooper by armbar in the second round. Aspen used the superior skills she had learned in wrestling to take on McGill. She won her bout via TKO (3rd round) (elbows, punches). Aspen then went on to face Jessica Hoy for Invicta FC18 at a catchweight of 138.1lb. Ladd was not able make the weight, however, Aspen was victorious and defeated Hoy with a TKO. Invicta FC 28 was her final fight for the company. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks be defeated in a unanimous verdict. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She was a step ahead of Lina and pounded her with a ground-and-pound in the second round to secure a TKO victory. She remained dominant and picked up another big win over Tonya Avinger at UFC 229 with her next bout. Ladd took on Evinger by a punch in the first round she was awarded a Performance of the Night bonus. Her first fight of note came during her subsequent fight in UFC Fight Night dos Anjos vs. Lee against Sijara Eubanks in an Invicta FC rematch. Ladd, who won by a unanimous decision following an intense back and forth battle between the two fighters, got her Fight of the Night bonuses. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie was able to finish the fight in just 16 seconds and finish Ladd and her streak. Then she bounced back and defeated Yana Kunitskaya in the third round of UFC in ESPN 7. For a replacement last minute for her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. It was a unanimous decision in her favor.
